Podcast Episode 355: 73rd Primetime Emmy Award Predictions (Emmys 2021)

 

Every year we try to predict the very unpredictable Emmys in a very special episode of Dual Redundancy. This year Dave, Kyle and John try and forecast who will take home the Emmy in all the major categories for the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards. The ceremony will be on Sunday, September 19th on CBS & Paramount+.

We predict the acting categories for drama series (6:30), limited series (25:30) and comedy series (40:15) as well as the main three: outstanding drama series, outstanding limited series, and outstanding comedy series.

Dual Redundancy's March Madness Bracket - Favorite Film Franchise Final Round

It is March and that only means one thing: March Madness! Last year we asked what was your favorite TV character currently on TV. This year we want to know what is your favorite film franchise? 

For our bracket we defined a “franchise” as a series of four or more films that either share the same fictional universe or are marketed as a series. Some franchises seemingly cover multiple films (MCU/Spider-Man and DCEU/Batman) but different studios are legally involved and are considered separate by sites like Box Office Mojo, Business Insider and Rotten Tomatoes. Seeding was decided based on cumulative North American box office totals (from Box Office Mojo). Each week each franchise will go head to head until only one film franchise remains!

Voting will close on Sunday and the winner will be revealed during our live Twitch show on Monday, April 5th at 9 PM ET!

It is March and that only means one thing: March Madness! Last year we asked what was your favorite TV character currently on TV. This year we want to know what is your favorite film franchise? 

For our bracket we defined a “franchise” as a series of four or more films that either share the same fictional universe or are marketed as a series. Some franchises seemingly cover multiple films (MCU/Spider-Man and DCEU/Batman) but different studios are legally involved and are considered separate by sites like Box Office Mojo, Business Insider and Rotten Tomatoes.
