This semester your hosts and bloggers David and Mike are producing a short film called Rom-Com Tom.
As we have posted before Rom-Com Tom is a romantic comedy about romantic comedies. In it, the lead character Tom is convinced he's living in a romantic comedy, or "Rom-Com." When it starts looking like he won't end up with his dream girl, he takes the script into his own hands, playing off the conventions of the genre to manipulate his way into bed. It's a movie for movie lovers, combing aspects of romance, thriller and even horror to hilarious results.
We are in the final weeks of editing before our big May premiere but we still need your help! We have nine days left in our funding goal and we could really use your help to cover the cost of props, costumes, food, distribution, and everything in between!
ML- Since the atrocious season 9 I've tried to kick my Idol addiction, to no avail. This week, AI 12 contestant Candice Glover performed The Cure's "Lovesong" and reminded me why staying up-to-date with the reality showcase can be oh so rewarding. Randy proclaims it as one of the best performances of all time, and I agree.
I scoured YouTube to find the other "best performances of all time" and drafted a list of 32. Someone, somewhere should make a bracket of these -- we're still processing the results from our March Madness bracket competition! For now, enjoy this unranked video playlist of the top Idol vocals from the past 12 years.
Note: Contestants were limited to just one performance in the list, to prevent every single Kris Allen / Kelly Clarkson number from sneaking in. I also tried fitting each winner in there, even though Lee DeWyze's spot should have gone to Andrew Garcia's "Straight Up" cover.

Who did I miss? Or did I pick the wrong song for somebody? Let me know in the comments, and be sure to watch American Idol Wednesdays/Thursdays on FOX to catch some of the show's best talent in years.
It is March and that only means one thing: March Madness! Even though we do not discuss sports we still wanted to join the bracket fun and make one for ourselves. This year Dual Redundancy wants to know what is the best movie? After some intense and very close match-ups we finally have our final two! What film will be named the best film of all time? Seeds were figured out by calculating how many Oscars were won by each film. The film with the most wins goes up against the film with the least amount of wins. If the number was the same we go in alphabetical order.
The winner will be announced on the next podcast episode of Dual Redundancy coming up this week!
